INSTALLATION GUIDE + SAFETY

Note: As of now Lunar Client is currently listed to be "Use at your own risk." The developers are not responsible for any time of punishment or ban you may receive on the Hypixel Network during the time being.

Nearly all mods are allowed as they do not provide an illegal modification to your game, with the exception of ToggleSneak, which you may not use in any circumstance. This should not be confused with togglesprint, which is allowed. You may find more information about allowed modifications at https://hypixel.net/threads/guide-allowed-modifications.345453/.

Finally, using anticheat mode on or off will not effect your experience on Hypixel and is not required. More information about that in the AC section.

How To Install:

Head on over to their website at https://www.lunarclient.com/

Click on the Download icon at the top, and select the download link based on your operating system (Windows/Mac/Linux)

Run the installer, and click I agree, then wait for it to install.

Select 1.8.9 version (with or without anticheat) and launch the game.

After installing, you should be set! Add mc.hypixel.net to your server list and connect

Lunar Client offers a ton of mods and features, so many that I can't discuss all of them individually, therefore I will be providing a brief list of all of them, in addition to talking more in-depth in all the mods that are made for Hypixel gamemodes.

The Lunar Client 1.8.9 Mod List includes:

You can see why this might be very confusing to some players

As this is a guide for hypixel, I will only discuss hypixel-related mods.

The Skyblock Add-ons mod is completely allowed and built for Skyblock in Hypixel specifically, it provides dozens of modifications to enhance your experience in Skyblock, such as QoL mods, Timers, Warnings and alerts, minion mods, and custom bars.

The Hypixel Mods section is (obviously) built for the hypixel network, including all the modifications for the hypixel network.
AutoFriend: Automatically accepts friend requests
AutoGG: Automatically sends GG after every game (for karma)
AutoWho: Automatically runs /who in ranked skywars games.
AutoTip: Automatically /tips all players for extra cions.
AntiGG: Hides all GG's from chat (for convenience)
LevelHead: Displays players' levels above their head. Can be very useful.

The UHC Overlay mods, built for the UHC Champions gamemode in Hypixel, basically adjust the size of certain items' appearances in games to help you find and sort them better. This is not an unfair advantage as it simply allows you to change the scale and size of items.

Some extras I would recommend using Potion Effects to see the remaining duration of status effects, FPS mod, Direction HUD for certain gamemodes, and Armor Status HUD to view your current armor and durability

Anticheat ON vs. OFF

Please note that playing without the anticheat enabled will not result in consequences on the Hypixel network, as opposed to anticheat on. In some cases, certain players will receive much better performance without the anticheat enabled as it tends to use your processor a good amount (especially on lower end systems.)

Q: How do I know if a player is on Lunar Client?
A: On 1.8.9, you can actually see the lunar icon next to their name in-game if they are using lunar client. It will look like this.

Q: Can I hide banwave messages?
A: Yes, in fact you can if you head on over to the Performance Tab after hitting RSHIFT, and ticking "Hide Ban Wave Messages"

Q: Does this client boost frames?
A: Yes! In most cases, your frames will nearly double!

Q: My antivirus software is flagging the download. Is it malicious?
A: Lunar Client does not contain any malicious software such as viruses or trojans. Due to the nature of the client-side anticheat, anti-viruses sometimes flags our software as malicious. We can assure you that this is not the case. Please ignore these warnings and add Lunar Client as an exception to your anti-virus if this happens to you.

not true :/ I am not promoting just making a guide. If anything, it's safer than badlion (anticheat etc)

First off that's only if you play with AC off
second of all if you support tenebrous you're probably also a ****
thirdly I'm pretty sure it's fixed because I tested it with AC off (could be my friend's server just not working properly)
fourth, i don't know what you mean by harmful as it's not harmful to your computer and nobody describes a hack as 'harmful' imagine saying "YOOO THAT GUY IS USING HARMFUL BHOP" like wtf bruh
and lastly, he's promoting it because it's a good client and the owners of it aren't horrible people (at least not exposed yet) like one of their biggest competitors, Badlion Client.

you could also add one of experimental branches, "exp"

this branch is an experimental branch where new features are added here first
